Stylishly combined with colour-coordinated ceramic glass

Gütersloh/Rödinghausen, September 12, 2014 No. 121/2014

New induction hobs in brown and black match design of Miele built-in appliances

With its new self-contained induction hobs, Miele is writing a new chapter in the story of elegance and fashion sense. These new models feature a brown or black ceramic glass screen with white characters in the display and thereby harmonise perfectly with Miele's current Generation 6000 built-in kitchen appliances.

After launching models with white ceramic glass in 2013, this model series is now set to be extended through the addition of 60 cm and 75 cm units with brown and black ceramic glass. All models are designed for flush installation in worktops.

In terms of power and flexibility, these hob units subscribe to high Miele standards: Two PowerFlex rings on the right-hand side can be combined to give a maximum output of 7.36 kW. Combining rings to give a rectangular zone is ideal for the use of a large casserole dish. Optionally, individual zones can be combined into one single large ring. This is of particular benefit when bringing water to the boil in a large pan. Another special feature of PowerFlex technology from Miele is the extremely uniform transfer of heat to the base of pots and pans. This is achieved through the virtually gap-free arrangement of induction coils below the ceramic glass screen. This steady transfer of energy to the food creates the ideal conditions for perfect cooking results.

When it comes to convenience and safety, all three models are Con@ctivity-enabled, allowing pre-emptive communication between hob and hood and letting the cooker hood know in advance what is going on down on the hob below. Information on ring settings is relayed between the two appliances using RF technology. There is no need for intervention on the part of the user as the hood is switched on and off and suction power regulated automatically. Installation is simple. Each Con@ctivity-enabled cooker hood is supplied with a RF transmitter which is simply plugged into the Miele hob unit.
