Efficient ventilation technology in a discreet guise

Gütersloh/Rödinghausen, September 18, 2015 No. 136/2015

New ceiling extractor from Miele rated A+ for energy efficiency is suitable for wall installation

Miele is extending the range of design options in the kitchen with new ceiling extractors. These specialised built-in extractors integrate discreetly with furnishings and ensure a pleasant micro-climate – and all that combined with top-class energy efficiency.

One special feature of these 90 cm wide ceiling extractors (DA 2806), available in brilliant white and stainless steel, is their reduced depth of only 50 cm. This allows these units not only to be installed in the ceiling above a cooking island but also to be attractively fitted vertically in wall panelling above a hob.

With an A+ on the label, these Miele ceiling extractors are in the best energy efficiency category for cooker hoods. A DC Eco motor and four long-life, flush-fitted LED downlights make a considerable contribution towards keeping down energy consumption. In 'Intensive', which best pairs up with searing meat down on the hob, this Miele extractor has a maximum airflow rate of 750 m³/h. And, what's more, the new models go about their work very quietly indeed. At the frequently used Setting 3, sound emissions are no more than 57 dB (A).

Miele ceiling extractors all feature Miele's automatic Con@ctivity 2.0: Whilst the user is free to concentrate on the job of cooking, the ceiling extractor automatically adjusts suction power to what is actually cooking on the hob below, ensuring a pleasant room climate. The Miele hob unit – and there are more than 30 models to select from – transmits its settings via an RF link to the extractor. The installation of Con@ctivity 2.0 is very simple and merely involves inserting the RF transmitter which comes with the extractor into its sheath. Where appropriate, the ceiling extractor can also be operated using a remote control handset.

Further features typical of Miele include a stainless-steel panel which can be removed for ease of cleaning and 10-ply metal grease filters which are dishwasher-proof for convenience.

Miele ceiling extractors can be operated in either vented or recirculation mode; there will also be one model for operation with an external fan.
