Ample space and flexibility in washing and disinfecting instruments

Gütersloh/Düsseldorf, November 14, 2016 No. 129/2016

Compact units with even greater capacity

The new A 208 load carrier to be presented by Miele Professional at Medica offers space for 8 DIN mesh trays and a row of connectors for 6 lumened instruments. Alongside an increased capacity, the load carrier offers even more loading convenience and flexibility thanks to the fact that one of the rack levels can be removed. The A 208 was developed by Miele for use in its PG 85 series of undercounter washer-disinfectors. It is due to be officially launched in the first quarter of 2017.

Used in conjunction with these 60 or 90 cm wide units, the new load carrier guarantees maximum capacities in instrument reprocessing. This is made possible by a rear docking facility which provides a supply of water and hot air for drying directly from the rear chamber panel. Both pass to the spray arms without losses along the way for the efficient use of resources in reprocessing.

The new load carrier accommodates two DIN mesh trays containing surgical instruments such as scissors or forceps on each of the 4 rack levels. A row of connectors for lumened instruments – for example those used in microvasive surgery – features on the top level, making it easily accessible. Adjustments to facilitate instruments of varying height is provided by a removable rack level, creating more space for larger medical products such as kidney dishes.

The new compact system from Miele is particularly suited to professional instrument reprocessing in larger surgeries or outpatient clinics.
