For 90 cm wide washer-disinfectors

The new washer-disinfectors from Miele Professional, characterised by their high-performance wash system, will also be available from August 2015 as 90 cm wide undercounter units. This allows ample space in a side cupboard for the necessary process chemicals, guaranteeing safe and ergonomic storage.

The new model PG 8582 CD incorporates an innovative wash system offering increased capacity and improved reprocessing results combined with the reduced use of resources. This is all possible thanks to a new and patented circulation pump with a capacity which can be adjusted in each phase of the cycle to suit requirements. This saves both water and energy – and, depending on the programme, reduces consumption compared with the previous series by up to 20%.

New to this series is the fact that all heater elements have been incorporated into the circulation pump, reducing the risk of deposits on elements exposed in the cabinet significantly. In combination with the smooth, laser-welded chamber seams, this sets new standards in terms of hygiene. Furthermore, the new pump heats up the water in circulation faster, thereby contributing towards shorter cycles.

The introduction of both water and drying air into load carriers has also undergone improvements. Both now enter the cabinet via the rear panel and not, as previously the case, via the chamber ceiling. The water is then channelled through a horizontal spray guide to the spray arm in a loss-free way, resulting in the more efficient use of resources. A special feature: Any valves not used by docked baskets are sealed automatically in order to avoid any unnecessary drop in pressure in the remaining system and to reduce water consumption. Spray arm and spray pressure monitoring guarantee proper reprocessing.

The drying function DryPlus guarantees good drying of all reprocessed instruments. Any moisture remaining in the chamber is absorbed by heat produced by the heater bank and passed through the new and highly efficient steam condenser on its way out of the machine. A high-performance efficient HEPA Class H13 particulate filter prevents air-borne particles from the ambient room air from entering the drying system and being deposited on the instruments.

The 90 cm wide undercounter washer-disinfectors feature an easy-to-operate pull-out side cabinet offering space for either two 10 l canisters or three 5 l canisters containing liquid detergent or neutralising agent. A drip tray liner provides a secure stand, is easy to clean and captures any chemical spillage in the event of containers leaking.

The new PG 8582 CD model is optionally available in stainless steel. Miele's unique touch-on-steel display controls panel which makes machine operation extremely simple. The design and appeal of the machine is highlighted by the iF Design Award presented to Miele in the spring of 2015.
