Data management made easy - App for transfer and approval of reports

DataDiary: A practical solution for dentists from Miele

Dentists are under obligation to document the successful reprocessing of their instruments. To assist with this task, Miele is now offering a particularly time-saving solution based on an app. This receives cycle protocols automatically from a thermal disinfector, allowing cycle reports to be generated at a tablet PC – without a cable, USB flash memory or any other intermediate steps.

For employees in dental practices, data transmission, approvals and data archiving is a repetitive task which involves considerable effort. This typically begins with a printout or the transfer of data to a PC using a USB flash memory, often containing data from several consecutive cycles. And the more data needs saving, the less time there is available for more pressing tasks.

Miele offers a simpler and faster solution: Using an app entitled DataDiary, a tablet PC is able to receive reprocessing data straight from a thermal disinfector. This occurs immediately at the end of each process stage and without any intervention on the part of staff. The documentation as such is also performed by DataDiary. Each employee using the system is identified by a user ID by entering a password or using a chipcard.

'DataDiary is fast and intuitive, allowing surgery teams all the more time to get on with what really counts', says Michael Sedlag, Head of Medical Technology with Miele. With this, Miele has further extended its holistic range of products for greater security and maximum convenience in dental practices. The app is available to run on the iOS and Android operating systems – and compatible with PG 8581 and PG 8591 thermal disinfectors from Miele.
