Fast, safe and powerful:
Miele sterilisers for dental surgeries

No. 080/2013
Miele-Sterilisator für Zahnarztpraxen

Easy to use - Very short cycles

With its simple controls, extremely short cycle times and excellent drying results, Miele's PS 1201B steriliser achieves good sterilisation results both fast and safely. This product is an integral component in the 'System4Dent' range of products and services now available from Miele Professional, a full-line supplier for the reprocessing of dental instruments.

The B-class steriliser with its patented technology ensures the shortest of cycle times: The '134°C Universal' programme, for instance, able to process a 6 kg wrapped instrument load, takes only 21 minutes – drying included! Efficient surgery processes are supported by a powerful vacuum pump which draws a deep vacuum, enabling the efficient drying of sterile supplies. Both machines can be installed on a worktop with a minimum depth of 50 cm and feature an integrated reverse osmosis module providing an adequate supply of demineralised water, resulting in extremely simple and fast installation.

The sterilisers feature various programmes for sterilisation at 121°C and 134°C as well as programmes for vacuum and Helix tests. The most frequently used programme can be launched by pressing the QuickStart button. The clear and concise display presents information on the programme cycle as well as status messages. The unit is simple and intuitive to use and features a 20-litre chamber able to accommodate 6 trays or up to 3 containers, thanks to its flexible rack.

The sterilising chamber is double-skinned, allowing steam to be generated in the jacket between the two walls. This patented system provides saturated steam for the various stages of the sterilisation cycle. The vacuum pump has no moving parts and is therefore not subject to wear and tear and is able to draw a vacuum of 20 mbar absolute pressure. These two components offer key user benefits: Rapid heat-up, optimum temperature distribution and a deep vacuum guarantee process safety throughout all stages of sterilisation.

Miele's sterilisers are further characterised by their service-friendly design which allows service engineers to perform repairs in the shortest of times. The documentation of process data can be performed in a variety of ways, for example by transferring data to the surgery's own network or by connecting a printer.
