High performance in only 2 m² footprint

Compact dual-chamber washer from Steelco with capacity of 60-70 DIN trays per hour

The TW 3000/2 dual-chamber washer from Steelco features 2 separate chambers for washing and drying, enabling 2 different loads with differing reprocessing needs to be washed and dried simultaneously, with reprocessed goods exiting the drying chamber every 17 minutes.

The programme cycle is run in separate washing and drying chambers with a vertical door between the two chambers which opens automatically once cleaning and disinfection is finished. The load carrier with surgical instruments then progresses automatically into the drying chamber. Whilst the load is drying in the second chamber, a new washing and disinfection process can be started in the first chamber.

Innovative 'Fast Cycle' technology uses pre-heating tanks to shorten the time needed for the cold pre-wash, washing, rinsing and thermal disinfection phases. Further benefits include the possibility to recycle thermal disinfection rinse water (where allowed) for reuse in washing or rinsing phases during the next cycle, thereby saving considerable water and energy.

As the second chamber with HEPA filtered air is only used for drying, the drying time can be extended to the same length as that used for washing, without extending the overall cycle time. Optional turbo drying reduces electrical consumption and extends HEPA filter life.

A wide range of load carriers with a capacity of up to 18 DIN trays are available as well as a racks enabling the reprocessing of different generations of Da Vinci robotic instruments and Xi series 2 endoscopes simultaneously.

Thanks to its compact size and small footprint, the dual-chamber unit takes up only approximately 2 m² of floor space and can be linked to the Steelco automatic transfer system (ATS) for either straight line or parallel loading. Further automation options include adding dedicated cold pre-cleaning or ultrasonic washing modules in conjunction with ATS units. The TW3200 system can be linked to SteelcoData for instrument traceability.
