First headroom cooker hood followed by campaign model

A design icon needs company: When first launched in 2001, the DA 289 headroom hood was the first of its kind on the world market. Now, under the title Flyer Black Edition, Miele has launched a campaign model based on this successful concept. The name says it all: the Flyer Black Edition has an elegant b(l)ack canopy.

As the sloping canopy and vapour capture screen is not at forehead height, this approach is a boon to tall persons. Since its launch, the ergonomically shaped DA 289 has won numerous prizes; and, significantly, the principle has been copied by many.

In the new colour, this wall decor hood harmonises perfectly with built-in appliances from the Generation 6000 range. The most pleasing combinations are with models in CleanSteel stainless steel and in Obsidian Black.
Since its premiere, the 90 cm wide cooker hoods have undergone significant further development and reflect the technical state of the art: A sound-proofing package, for instance, ensures whisper-quiet operation. The 10-ply stainless-steel grease filter is easy to remove and can be washed in a dishwasher. The four halogen spots are dimmable and ideal for atmospheric lighting.

The Flyer Black Edition is Con@ctivity-enabled. Con@ctivity from Miele adjusts suction power automatically by pre-empting what is happening on the hob below, guaranteeing a pleasant room micro-climate. With Con@ctivity, hood-to-hob communication is via existing wiring (PowerLine). Alongside a communication-enabled Miele hob unit, all that is needed is a Con@ctivity set, available as an accessory.

The campaign model is designed to operate as a vented extractor but can also be connected to an external fan.
