Simple operation via short-cut buttons
Footswitch for convenient door action
As a full-line hygiene specialist, Miele is now expanding its portfolio of bedpan washers. An additional free-standing unit with a width of only 45 cm is ideal for small utility rooms and also easy to integrate into a run of furniture.
With its compact external dimensions, the new bedpan washer (PWD 8543) represents an ideal and space-saving solution and offers sufficient space for the simultaneous washing of bed pans and urine bottles. Like the four other tried-and-tested models, this new offering is characterised by the reliable cleaning results it produces. The machine is easy to operate via direct-access pushbuttons and features Short, Standard and Intensive programmes with short cycle times.
The chamber is made from heat- and corrosion-proof stainless steel and is manufactured without welds. Cove corners avoid any build-up of residues and thereby prevent any carryover of bacterial load. Similarly, rotating and fixed nozzles are made from durable stainless steel. These facilitate the distribution of water, reaching and reliably cleaning all external and internal surfaces of the load. During each disinfection phase, steam is passed through the chamber of the bedpan washer, its pipework and nozzles. This not only thoroughly disinfects bed pans and urine bottles but also the pipework in the entire circuit.
A footswitch guarantees even greater hygiene during daily work, allowing the machine door to be opened simply and conveniently. On request, adjustment to individual requirements is possible, for example by adding an additional cleaning stage. Furthermore, the A0 value can be used to control the level of disinfection to suit individual needs. Matching process chemicals from Miele's ProCare Med range make a further contribution towards hygienic reprocessing results.
