Miele at Achema Pulse: Innovative products for greater capacity and flexibility in everyday laboratory life

Gütersloh, May 10, 2021 No. 031/2021
  • SlimLine laboratory glasswashers with a larger chamber and EasyLoad system

  • Increased capacity of load carriers on PLW 86 large-chamber laboratory glasswashers

The efficient reprocessing of laboratory glassware will be centre-stage at Miele's presentation at the forthcoming live digital Achema Pulse (June 15-16): Take, for example, the new SlimLine washer, which has retained is same narrow build but offers significantly more space inside, and now sports the particularly convenient EasyLoad system. The large-chamber laboratory glasswashers from the PLW 86 series also offer an increased load capacity – thanks to a new load carrier which boosts their capacity for small and medium-size laboratory glassware items by 50%.

Miele is set to present its portfolio for laboratories at a digital exhibition booth – and will live-stream all new products and features on June 15 (10h30 to 10h45) and on June 16 (14h45 to 15h00). In addition to this, virtual visitors can chat with Miele's advisory team during trade show hours. The new SlimLine washers will have their premiere at this digital event: They are due for launch in 4Q21 and make use of the EasyLoad accessory system which makes loading incredibly easy. With its special design, it also prevents damage to the load.

With a width of only 65 cm, the new SlimLine models are ideal when lots of laboratory glassware has to be reprocessed in circumstances where space is at a premium. With the EasyLoad system, 192 bottles (100 ml) can now be reprocessed in a single cycle, 50% more than previously. The baskets and modules in which load items are automatically and correctly positioned can be combined individually – including a holder for a 50 l carboy. Glassware in a variety of shapes and sizes is cleaned thoroughly on the inside with the aid of injector nozzles.

Reprocessing of laboratory glassware with different sizes in one and the same cycle

Thanks to a new load carrier, the capacity of large-chamber laboratory glasswashers from the PLW 86 series is set to increase by 50% when reprocessing small to medium-size items of glassware. It can be ordered as the APLW 511 from July onwards and offers space for up to 9 loading modules on 3 rack levels. These can be positioned where needed within the chamber and also allow a combination of different sizes of laboratory glassware articles in a single cycle, putting the space available to best use. This results in a considerable capacity increase: Now, for example, 324 bottles (100 ml) can be washed and dried per cycle or, alternatively, 216 of the same bottles together with 294 phials.

Miele's system is nicely rounded off by its own range of process chemicals, formulated for a variety of applications and soils whilst at the same time guaranteeing the gentle reprocessing of glassware. No more than a few clicks away: All detergents and neutralising agents are available from the online shop (shop.miele-professional.de) under the ProCare Lab label.
