Miele at Analytica 2016: Lab washers, process chemicals and more

Gütersloh/Munich, February 18, 2016 No. 023/2016

Undercounter models and online shop

Analytica 2016 marks the launch of a comprehensive Miele Professional product offensive – with a new series of high-performance lab washers and a range of matching process chemicals (System4Lab). Detergent and neutralisation agent can now be conveniently ordered online on Miele's home market. Miele will be presenting in Hall B1, Stand 302 at Analytica which runs from May 10 until May 14.

The current generation of Miele undercounter models features an innovative water circulation system which enables better reprocessing results whilst at the same time reducing consumption. This is achieved through the use of a patented, variable-speed circulation pump which adjusts water pressure to suit the needs of individual programme stages. For the first time, the heater elements on these models have been integrated into the pump, giving soil no chance to build up around exposed heater elements in the sump. Compared with the previous generation, these new models offer significant capacity increases. This is the result of a new load carrier system: Up to 71 different load combinations are possible, including configurations for reprocessing 128 laboratory phials or 98 pipettes in a single cycle.

Both water and drying air is now introduced into load carriers via a docking system at the rear of the unit. This minimises pressure losses in the circuit and optimises the supply of air for drying. In combination with a choice of two drying systems and various control functions, the increased performance and capacity of these new 60 cm wide machines can be used to the full. A 90 cm model is also available which houses a telescopic rack for canisters containing liquid detergent and neutralising agent.

Miele's own process chemicals ensuring the thorough and gentle reprocessing of laboratory glassware are available under the ProCare Lab label. Automatic and safe dispensing of liquids is ensured by dispenser modules which also monitor the level of product in the canisters.

In Germany, these process chemicals can be ordered via Miele Professional's new webshop: Clients can order detergent and neutralising agent by pointing their browser at http://shop.miele-professional.de. Ordering involves no more than a few mouse clicks. Delivery is guaranteed within three working days. This holistic approach, which includes chemicals formulated for Miele machines, takes gentle care of laboratory glassware.

Practical tips and tricks on the reprocessing of laboratory glassware are provided by the www.aklab.de website. Here, a 76-page brochure on the reprocessing of glassware is available as a free download in German, English and French. This publication brings together the expert knowledge of Miele Professional, the Hamburg-based process chemicals manufacturer Dr. Weigert and the Duran Group (laboratory glassware) from Mainz as the founding members of the lab glassware reprocessing working group (AK LAB).
