Campaigning for induction

Miele is set to deploy campaign models to boost the trend towards induction cooking. And the most striking features of the new models? They are fast, flexible and – with widths of 60 and 75 cm – fit into virtually any kitchen.

The models KM 6304, KM 6306, KM 6307 and KM 6308 feature their own controls and are therefore independent of an oven. With four rings, PowerFlex technology, TwinBooster, Con@ctivity 2.0 and the Stop&Go function, the Miele units offer a comprehensive set of features at attractive prices.

PowerFlex rings adjust flexibly to cookware and offer maximum output when cooking with casserole dishes and oversized pots and pans. On these campaign models, PowerFlex zones can be combined to form a single larger rectangular area which is ideally suited to large casserole dishes. Optionally, individual zones can be combined into one single large ring. This is of particular benefit when bringing water to the boil in a large pan. Another special feature of PowerFlex technology from Miele is the extremely uniform transfer of heat to the base of pots and pans. This is achieved through the virtually gap-free arrangement of induction coils below the ceramic glass screen. This steady transfer of energy to the food creates the ideal conditions for perfect cooking results.

When it comes to convenience and safety, the new hob units are Con@ctivity-enabled, allowing pre-emptive communication between hob and hood so that the cooker hood knows in advance what is going on down on the hob below. Information on ring settings is relayed between the two appliances using RF technology. There is no need for intervention on the part of the user as the hood is switched on and off and suction power regulated automatically. Installation is simple. Each Con@ctivity-enabled cooker hood is supplied with a RF transmitter which is simply plugged into the Miele hob unit.

Use of the hob unit is intuitive and understood in a flash: Simply switch the machine on, activate the ring required and adjust the power using the run of numbers - in each case using the touch controls on the glass screen. And then there's Stop&Go: To answer the door or the phone, simple press a simple combination of controls to reduce the power output on all active rings to the lowest setting to prevent food from burning or boiling over.

The campaign models are available in various version: 60 and 75 cm wide models with a broad onset stainless-steel frame alongside versions for flush installation.
