Climate change, a dramatic increase in electricity costs, working from home ... – Improving energy efficiency and sustainability in the home is a more crucial than ever before. In this field, Miele is once again setting new standards with its dishwashers from the current G 7000 generation. Whether through an A rating for energy efficiency on almost all models, a particularly fast Eco programme, an optional hot water connection or the exclusive AutoDos dispensing system: A choice in favour of a dishwasher from Miele not only takes the strain off the environment and the climate but also goes easy on the wallet. The lettuce looks limp, carrots are like rubber and even apples, carefully selected at the market stall, are no longer crunchy. So throw them away? All too often, the answer is 'yes'! In order to avoid this set of circumstances, your refrigerator needs the right type of freshness system. Miele is presenting a new generation of free-standing refrigerators which will make precisely that contribution towards avoiding food wastage whilst at the same time offering the ultimate in convenience in the form of a freezer zone, an innovative highlight which can also be used for refrigeration.
The letter A is writ large on the energy label: Miele is to present a new generation of free-standing refrigerators along with fridge-freezer combinations in the best possible energy efficiency class under the new regime. All this is possible thanks to a particularly effective approach to insulation which ensures that the energy efficiency of Miele models remains high throughout the entire life cycle of the products.
Cordless vacuum cleaning is practical and effective – providing that suction, battery power and user convenience align. The positive feedback reflected this when Miele launched the Triflex HX1, its first cordless handstick, in 2019. Now, the second generation of this compact allrounder from Miele's Bielefeld plant, the Triflex HX2, brings together the unique flexibility of its predecessor with further increased suction power and improved user convenience. Following a technical and optical facelift, the Triflex HX1 will remain in the range as a new entry-line model. The market launch of the two-model series was in April.
Faced with the climate crisis and rocketing energy prices, the responsible use of energy is more urgently needed than ever before. For that reason, Miele supports its customers in making their machines, which are already highly efficient and feature smart functions*, even more environmentally friendly. This is facilitated by a genial Consumption Dashboard in the app, machines linked to solar technology and, not least, by Miele's involvement in an international research project.
Miele is igniting the next booster stage in the development of assisted cooking as it continues to add artificial intelligence (AI) to its applications – for intuitive cooking and more fun in the kitchen.* Smart Food ID, the automatic recognition and preparation of food using a camera in the oven, is due to come under starter's orders in 15 European countries. A highlight for all those who like to share their cooking skills on social media: the new Picture Share feature, allowing an image taken by the oven camera to be forwarded to friends in the blinking of an eye. And with CookAssist, providing app-based instructions for the best possible frying and roasting results on Miele induction hobs, Amazon's Alexa will in future announce the next stages of preparation.
'Hey Google, good morning' – The day gets off to a more relaxed start when the coffee machine preheats, the cooker hood switches on its subdued ambient lighting and the sound system streams your favourite songs. Such scenarios can now be compiled individually by Miele customers: with networked home appliances and with voice control with Google Assistant-enabled devices, which has been available since June. At the same time, Miele has got off the ground in China with the 'Tmall Genie' language assistant from Alibaba, the nation's favourite. This now means that voice control of Miele domestic appliances is possible with the world's leading eco systems*, as, alongside Google and Alibaba, the company has supported Amazon Alexa since 2018.
Cooking enthusiasts value the combination of oven and steam cooker as the pinnacle of built-in kitchen appliance technology – and in this respect no-one else has more experience and diversity to offer than Miele. A combination of conventional oven and steam cooking is the supreme discipline among built-in kitchen appliances – an area in which Miele has the longest experience and the broadest range of products. In the past, such a broad range of preparation methods in one and the same unit was the preserve of high-priced flagship models. As a new entry point into the world of Miele combi steam ovens, the company is now launching a complete new series of products for a 60 cm recess – and all that for less than € 2,000.
TwoInOne - Nomen est omen: The induction hob with an integrated extractor combines the best from the two Miele competence centres in Bünde and Arnsberg. These elegant multitalents have been in particularly big demand for several years in the design of open-plan kitchens. The company is now augmenting its portfolio with the inclusion of two very powerful yet quiet models with a new fan system.
With a full-surface induction hob, freedom during cooking is boundless: Up to six pots, pans or casserole dishes can be positioned anywhere on the Miele hob and moved around at will. These models are produced at Miele's Oelde plant and are tested to last 20 years.
