For 60 years, Miele has stood for reliability and innovation in the field of medical technology. Now, the Gütersloh-based, family-run company is rounding off its comprehensive system for doctors' practices, outpatient surgeries and specialist departments in hospitals and clinics – with a new and extensive portfolio of process chemicals. Under the heading ProCare Med, the reprocessing expert is set to introduce eight products on selected European markets from October 2021 onwards which are developed for the safe and economical reprocessing of instruments.

Products range from a pre-treatment foam aimed at keeping surgical instruments moist until they can be reprocessed to gentle, mildly alkaline and alkaline detergents as well as surfactants. Neutralising agents – optionally based on organic or inorganic compounds – also contribute towards preserving the value of loads. To take specific care of scissors and other instruments with hinges, Miele offers its clients a high-quality medical-grade oil which does not present a barrier to steam and is hence suitable for sterilisation.

The new process chemicals save valuable time and money in Miele undercounter and countertop machines with their powerful cleaning system: Despite customary short programme cycles, these products dispense only small quantities of chemicals and deliver first-class results, allowing instruments to be immediately checked, lubricated and sterilised.

Packaging units vary in size, depending on the product, from between 200 ml and 5 l. All bottles and canisters are extremely easy to use and are recyclable.
