Miele G 6000 EcoFlex dishwashers feature greater speed, economy and loading convenience

The new G 6000 EcoFlex dishwashers require less than an hour for an A-rated wash cycle – a feat accomplished only by Miele. In the Eco programme, the dishwashers even surpass the required value for a top-class A+++ energy-efficient programme by up to 20%. Thanks to its newly designed baskets, Miele is also further increasing its lead in terms of flexibility and loading convenience. And: numerous EcoFlex dishwashers are now WLAN-enabled.

Users of modern dishwashers offering low energy consumption often complain about excessively long cycle times or less-than-perfect cleaning results. Miele is now resoundingly putting paid to both: The new QuickPowerWash programme washes and dries crockery and cutlery in only 58 minutes. And this is achieved without any compromise in terms of cleaning performance which remains at the top A level. 

'With this programme, we are meeting the needs of consumers demanding top-class results in combination with short cycle times in a more consistent manner than any other manufacturer', says Gernot Trettenbrein, director of the international domestic appliance division at Miele. This is not least due to Miele's newly developed UltraTabs Multi, formulated specifically for the G 6000 EcoFlex and the QuickPowerWash programme. Unlike conventional multi-component tablets, Miele's ingredients dissolve completely within two to three minutes. And, even in combination with a short cycle, they achieve very good cleaning and drying results.

Exemplary energy efficiency thanks to heat storage feature

The new Miele dishwashers achieve their exemplary energy efficiency through, amongst other features, their EcoTech heat storage unit which is integrated into a large proportion of models. This device is located in the right-hand side panel and comprises two separate water circuits in a heat-exchanger unit. One of these circuits transports fresh tap water; the other constitutes a series of loops. The latter contains hot water from the last programme stage which circulates to pre-heat the fresh water in the reservoir. This means that less electricity is required to heat the incoming water to the required temperature, improving the energy efficiency rating from A+++ to A+++ minus 20%. 'Over the course of an entire year and presuming average domestic use, this equates to annual savings of around 50 kWh', Gernot Trettenbrein explains. And, all EcoFlex dishwashers can be connected to a hot water supply for further savings. 

Even greater flexibility and loading convenience

At the latest since the introduction of the patented and adjustable 3D cutlery drawer, Miele has been the benchmark in terms of loading flexibility, enhanced through adjustable features such as hinged spikes in the upper and lower baskets. This caters for the individual needs of Miele customers, allowing them to accommodate for instance tall stemware, large platters or bulky pans and dishes both conveniently and securely. G 6000 EcoFlex dishwashers take this flexibility to the next level.

The new 3D cutlery drawer features two hinged rows of spikes in the central section. These can be lowered to create space for, say, a large ladle. The new spikes ensure that long, slender items such as cook's knives and salad servers are securely positioned and thoroughly washed and dried on all sides.

The lower basket features the new, height-adjustable FlexCare glass holders. These consist of fibre-reinforced, tactile plastic surfaces and offer smaller items a secure hold. Tall stemware is held securely in place in the openings by new silicone rests.

Furthermore, all operable elements in the new models which can be removed or swung to one side are highlighted in orange. These FlexAssist markings combine with additional symbols such as a cup or wine glass to provide assistance to users.

Simple WLAN connectivity

Selected G 6000 EcoFlex dishwasher models can, if so desired, be linked to the Internet via a home's WLAN router without the need for additional modules. Using the free Miele@mobile app, machines can be monitored and controlled from a smartphone or tablet. Alongside a status indicator, programme selection and programme start, this also includes the new ShopConn@ct function: Once activated, a message is automatically sent to the mobile device when tablets, rinse aid or reactivation salt needs replenishing. From there, convenient reordering via the webshop is only a few clicks away. This function is unique in its branch. This feature will be available from the date of the initial product launch in Germany; other countries will follow later.

'With these specifications and features, our G 6000 EcoFlex dishwashers offer numerous USPs affording excellent user convenience', is Gernot Trettenbrein's summary. And he is 'firmly convinced that Miele will further improve its market position in the premium segment with these dishwashers'.
