Miele is expanding its portfolio of popular induction hobs with integrated extractor hoods. For the first time, the newcomer is designed entirely in black and, like all TwoInOnes, combines the best from Miele's competence centres in Bünde and Arnsberg. Powerful and quiet, the ventilation system works with the Silence motor. And thanks to the PowerFlex XL cooking zones, even two large pots or a roaster can find their place on the hob one behind the other.
Black surfaces are a permanent fixture in interior design. Black also looks elegant and timeless in kitchens. Particularly in open-plan living concepts, black built-in appliances set strong accents in light interiors or blend harmoniously into the overall picture in dark colour tones. Induction hobs with black glass ceramic are nothing unusual, but the new hob with integrated extractor fan sets new standards with its consistent all-black design.
The black printing on the cooking zones and the black struts on the flush cover grille in the centre of the glass ceramic make the hob look particularly clean and discreetly elegant. And even the grease filter inside the appliance is coloured black for a uniform overall look. When switched off, the ComfortSelect White control is only visible via the on/off switch. Only with a gentle tap of the finger does the white control appear directly below the extractor fan, with a display for each cooking zone and the fan.
The BlackPerfection is also impressive in terms of cooking and ventilation performance. Four large cooking zones (PowerFlex XL) extend over the entire depth of the hob and even offer space for two large pots in a row. To place roasters, gourmet griddles or Teppan Yaki plates in the ideal position, two cooking zones on each side can be easily connected. If more power is needed to start cooking quickly, the power of two cooking zones can also be bundled completely onto a single zone (TwinBooster).
The central, flush-mounted extractor hood powerfully extracts moisture, grease and odours. The booster, which can be switched on, moves up to 610 cubic metres of air per hour (exhaust air mode). Nevertheless, the ventilation technology, which is hidden under the glass ceramic, works quietly. "The TwoInOne Black Perfection's perceptible noise level makes it one of the quietest appliances on the market," says Till Deutschmann, Head of Category Marketing Hobs and Hoods Business Unit Cooking at Miele. This is made possible by the technical core, the highly efficient Silence motor from Miele's Euskirchen plant. An optimised flow cross-section and a simultaneously low installation height characterise this quiet motor. With the tried-and-tested Con@ctivity* function, the output of the ventilation system automatically adjusts to the actual cooking action. The extractor fan also switches off again shortly after the cooking process has ended.
Plug&Play variant for more flexibility
Classic exhaust air or recirculated air operation is possible with the TwoInOne hobs. With the ventilation concept, Miele also offers its customers a particularly quick and easy plug&play installation for recirculation operation. This creates even more flexibility in planning and installation, as lower plinth heights can be achieved with this installation method. Neither flat ducts, nor a plinth box are required. Only an adapter connects the air outlet with a round opening in the rear wall of the cabinet. The filtered air then passes through a gap between the cabinet and the kitchen wall via the plinth back into the room. The activated charcoal filter and the grease filter are located at the top of the unit, same as the guided recirculation, and can thus be conveniently removed and inserted. Thanks to the Plug&Play installation, only the top drawer in the base unit is omitted. All drawers below can be used as storage space in their entire depth.
The new TwoInOne hob BlackPerfection (KMDA 7676 BlackPerfection) will go on sale in early 2024. It is networkable via WLAN and can be integrated into the Miele app*. The frameless model is available in an exhaust and recirculation version. It achieves energy efficiency class A+.
*The networking applications described in the text are additional digital offerings from Miele & Cie. KG or partner companies. All smart applications are enabled by the Miele@home system. Depending on model and country, the range of functions may vary.
