Miele dishwasher receives Green Product Award

Since 2013, the Green Product Award has been rewarding products and services which excel in a special way through design, innovation and sustainability. This year, prize winners include a dishwasher from Miele. The G 7465 SCVi XXL AutoDos from Miele's Bielefeld production plant meets the requirements for the new 'A' energy efficiency class and, among other technologies, features load recognition to adjust water consumption to the load in hand to protect the environment. The jury commended above all the Miele app's transparency in presenting consumption data.

Miele continues to grow – and builds production plant in the USA

In order to continue and further strengthen its growth course, the Miele Group is expanding its production capacities. The next milestone is the Gütersloh-based family group's first plant on the American continent, where ovens are to be manufactured for the USA, Canada and Mexico. For the world's leading manufacturer of premium domestic appliances and machines for commercial use, this is the eighth production site outside Germany, out of a total of 16 plants.

Miele increases turnover by 12.2%

The world's leading supplier of premium domestic appliances and commercial machines achieved higher sales in its 2022 business year and sold more units than ever before – despite fragile supply chains and a decline in markets overall. With 23,322 employees, Miele reports the largest workforce in its history (as per December 31, 2022). Substantial improvements were achieved by the Gütersloh-based family-owned company in the field of climate protection, for instance through the increased use of solar power, 'green' steel and cooperations centred on electromobility as well as improvements in the energy efficiency of appliances.

Home office at Miele: Arrangements made for the future

Not having to drive to work each day saves time and money, takes the strain off the environment and helps reconcile family and career. These benefits are now set to remain beyond the Covid pandemic. With a set of rules which have applied Germany-wide since February 1, Miele is offering its employees a choice between two flexible models – and, depending on the task and field of activity, allowing staff members to work up to 80% of their hours from home.
