EasyLoad accommodates sedimentation funnels for the analysis of water samples

Gütersloh/Hannover, May 9, 2023 No. 054/2023
  • Miele first manufacturer to offer set of nozzles for Imhoff funnels

  • Easily accommodated in load carriers for thorough internal cleaning

Sedimentation funnels are used to determine water quality and ascertain the volume of solids in suspension in water – for example in sewage works and industrial plants as well as in swimming baths. Samples are taken using so-called Imhoff funnels with a form which allows suspended matter to sink to the bottom fast. Given their conical form, it was not previously possible to reprocess these vessels in an automatic process. Miele is now the first manufacturer to offer a matching set of nozzles for use in Miele's space-saving undercounter laboratory glasswashers with the same dimensions as a domestic dishwasher.

Four sedimentation funnels made from glass or plastic can be washed clean both inside and out in around half an hour in any standard programme used for laboratory glassware. The APLW 870 nozzle set is simple to use in A 300/x modules from the EasyLoad accessory system.

It enables the correct positioning of laboratory glassware in the load carrier and can be equipped with injector nozzles to suit individual needs. The heart and soul of the system is a new spray nozzle available in a variety of lengths and diameters. Their design guarantees the reliable internal cleaning of glassware – right through to the bottom of Imhoff funnels.
