New built-under wine conditioning units with exquisite features

More flexible, more exclusive and more individual: This is how the new wine units from Miele intended for space-saving undercounter installation present themselves. The new models come replete with exclusive features which are otherwise the preserve of much bigger freestanding units. With their elegant but unobtrusive design, these products blend in seamlessly with kitchen and interior designs.

Sitting on the smallest of footprints and with a height of less than 87 cm, these undercounter wine units offer ample space for up to 34 bottles as well as the same benefits as their bigger brothers. The talking point on these products is the SommelierSet, exclusive to Miele and introduced for the first time on the KWT 6312 UGS. This set consists of a glass rack and the ConvinoBox, offering space for three bottles which can even be open. The wine glasses are securely hung from the rack for conditioning to the ideal serving temperature. Two small compartments in the ConvinoBox offer space for accessories such as corkscrews, waiter's knives and chalk crayons.

In order to extend the bottle capacity of the KWT 6312 UGS with its useful and representative SommelierSet, Miele is now offering the possibility of installing wine units side-by-side in a corresponding housing unit. Together with model KWT 6322 UG, a combination can be created which leaves nothing to be desired. In total, up to 45 bottles can be conditioned in style.

For the safe storage of precious wines, both models are equipped with variable FlexiFrame bottle racks. At the flick of a wrist, the individual wooden rails can be rearranged to suit bottle shapes. In addition, blackboard-type magnetic strips on the bottle rack can be used to organise the stock of wines in storage in the unit.
Both models integrate well into any kitchen or living room environment as the doors of both units are handleless; they respond to slight pressure to open (Push2open). On closing, the door is automatically drawn towards the cabinet from a certain angle.

The new wine conditioning units guarantee constant storage temperature through the uniform circulation of cold air (DynaCool), have vibration-free suspension on the compressor and prevent the transfer of odours through the use of an active charcoal filter (Active AirClean). Thanks to the new push action, the filter can now be replaced without first having to remove bottles.

With sound emissions of only 38 dB (A), the new undercounter wine units are even quieter than their predecessors. And, what's more, the machines are much more energy-efficient: Both models, the KWT 6322 UG and the KWT 6312 UGS, are A-rated for energy efficiency.

The new undercounter wine units will be available from European dealers (depending on the country) from June 2014. Products will be on sale in Germany from autumn onwards. The technical features mentioned above are model-dependent.
