Ample space for up to 13 kg of cottons, polycottons or delicates is provided by the new PW 5136 washer-extractor which Miele is to be launching in September 2013 as a 'limited edition' model. Six direct-access buttons ensure rapid and simple selection of cycles (Profitronic D controls). Before the start of a programme, the temperature and spin speed can be modified. And, if the laundry to be washed is less than a full load, the actual weight of the laundry can be simply keyed in – to save water and electricity. To facilitate the precise dispensing of liquid detergents, up to 12 dispenser pumps can be connected.

The display in the stainless-steel fascia provides information on programmes cycle in any of 11 languages. The range of 'Cottons', 'Minimum iron', and 'Delicates' programmes is augmented by a 'Woollens' and 'Starch' programme. All garments are given top-level treatment in Miele's patented honeycomb drum: Laundry glides on the film of water produced by the hexagonal sections on the surface of the drum. This drastically reduces the strain on laundry.

The campaign model in octoblue is the ideal proposition for clients who prefer a simple approach to standardised washing operations. If, on the other hand, there is a need to compile programmes, Miele Professional recommends its tried-and-tested PW 6137 washer-extractor with a 13 kg load capacity and freely programmable Profitronic M controls offering up to 199 vacant slots for self-compiled programmes.
