Miele at Analytica: Innovative products for greater convenience and efficiency in laboratories

Gütersloh, March 10, 2022 No. 013/2022
  • SlimLine laboratory glasswashers with larger chamber and EasyLoad system

  • New: Height-adjustable load carrier for PLW 86 large-chamber laboratory glasswasher

The efficient reprocessing of laboratory glassware is the centrepiece of Miele's presentation at the Analytica in Munich (June 21-24): Take, for example, the new slimline washer, which has retained its same narrow build but offers significantly more space inside, and now sports the particularly convenient EasyLoad system. Large-chamber laboratory glasswashers from the PLW 86 series are now even simpler to load – thanks to a transfer trolley with a motor-driven height adjustment feature which guarantees ergonomic use, irrespective of the size of the user.

The new SlimLine washers will have their premiere at this digital event: They make use of the EasyLoad accessory system which makes loading incredibly easy. The design also protects load items from damage.

With a width of only 65 cm, the new SlimLine models are ideal when lots of laboratory glassware has to be reprocessed where space is at a premium. With the EasyLoad system, 192 bottles (100 ml) can now be reprocessed in a single cycle, 50% more than previously. The baskets and modules in which load items are automatically and correctly positioned can be combined individually – including a holder for a 50 l carboy. Glassware in a variety of shapes and sizes is cleaned thoroughly on the inside with the aid of injector nozzles.

Using the automatically height-adjustable ATT 86 transfer trolley, loading and unloading large-chamber laboratory glasswashers from the PLW 86 series is much simpler. It is infinitely adjustable to the heights of various users, allowing the upper levels to be reached by all staff members.

EasyLoad also helps boost the efficiency of these glasswashers: Load carriers can be fitted with injector nozzles to suit individual requirements. Miele is even the first manufacturer to offer a set of nozzles for reprocessing the sedimentation cones used to analyse water samples.

A further premiere at Analytica will be the presentation of the Miele MOVE portal which transmits live glasswasher and cycle data to a mobile device. MOVE permits the remote monitoring of key process parameters, helps keep track of which machines are running and shows whether there is a sufficient supply of chemicals. Where necessary, contact to Miele Service is quickly established.

Miele's system is nicely rounded off by its own range of process chemicals, formulated for a variety of applications and soils whilst at the same time guaranteeing the gentle reprocessing of glassware.
