Miele flatwork ironers meet the exacting
requirements of laundries

More than 200 kg of perfectly finished laundry per hour

New high-performance flatwork ironers from Miele Professional set new standards in laundries: They are able to process more than 200 kg of laundry per hour,1 equating to more than a tonne of laundry per day. And these large ironers can be controlled and monitored from their central display, making for ultimate user convenience and safety. Alongside the new models with various working widths up to a maximum of 3.50 m, Miele's tried-and-tested smaller rotary ironers continue to augment the lineup.

The new flatwork ironers with model designations PM 16 and PM 18 are available with electric, gas and steam heating. The touch display presenting all machine parameters at a single glance allows the machine to adapt fast to
everyday working conditions: As contact pressure can be selected by the operator, the machine rises to the challenge of ironing multi-layer items such as bed linen and cotton table cloths just as fast as thinner fabrics. Similarly, trough temperatures and roller speeds are also user-selectable. Furthermore, the display controls also issue a reminder when the trough is in need of cleaning or waxing. The relevant machine settings are automatically activated by the new waxing programme. Special programmes can be saved to various user levels and password-protected to prevent mistakes and unauthorised use.

The hourly throughput capacity of these ironers can be further increased by using a range of optional accessories: One such option is the heightadjustable 'Plus' infeed table. A vacuum device located below the feed belts on the table guarantee that items are crease-free as they glide onto the roller, further improving the finish on high-class table linen. Energy can be saved by coasting home with the residual heat in the trough after switch-off. This heat is sufficient to iron the last batch of items. And to ensure that no heat is lost unnecessarily, the roller speed is automatically reduced as the temperature drops.

'EasyFold' outfeed table - also for smaller ironers

The smaller Miele rotary ironers come in a variety of roller lengths up to 1980 mm and are available with gas or electric heating. Like their larger highcapacity counterparts, these models also feature the EasyFold outfeed table, which is only available from Miele, with its structured and perforated honeycomb surface. Colder room air is able to permeate the flatwork on the table from below, allowing items to cool down fast. This gentle flow of air also fixes the finish in place.

Further user convenience offered by all Miele flatwork ironers is achieved through optional extras such as a heat-retaining cover which prevents heat losses. This reduces energy consumption and keeps temperatures in the close vicinity of the machine low, representing a further convenience benefit. A further option is laundry return feed, allowing the machine to be operated by one or at most two persons from one side only. This is ideal for ironing smaller items of laundry. As safety is always high on the Miele agenda, operation can be halted simply and immediately at all times by pressing the footswitch. This allows items of flatwork to be adjusted at the last moment and is particularly beneficial when ironing certain textiles such as round tablecloths.
