Plastic crockery often requires the use of a tea-towel if it is to be dried properly. But that costs time. If towels are not replaced regularly, this also poses risks – above all in facilities such as retirement and nursing homes where hygiene is of paramount importance. Manual intervention is now superfluous on SPEEDair and HYGIENEair fresh water dishwashers thanks to a fan-assisted drying system. Furthermore, model versions without drying can be fitted with a basket for reprocessing glass bottles and jugs.

Short cycle times and dry crockery are not a contradiction in terms: Thanks to the new Dry+ feature, the entire load can be removed immediately at the end of a programme cycle and put into storage – without having to dry items by hand. During the drying process, hot moisture-laden air is drawn out of the cabinet and replaced with fresh room air, resulting in a mere 8-minute extension to the programme cycle. To ensure that light-weight parts such as medication beakers or the lids of feeding cups stay put throughout the cycle, Miele offers special-purpose basket inserts.

Automatic liquid dispensing of process chemicals ensures greater efficiency in everyday work. Repeatable and safe processes reduce the input on the part of users. This is achieved through an integrated dispenser pump in the plinth: A solution which does not require any external accessories and can be implemented even in the confined space available.

Glass bottles and other hollow vessels can now be thoroughly cleaned inside and out in a new basket. The new basket is fitted in the place of the lower basket and connects directly to the water supply. It features injector nozzles for 16 bottles with a height of up to 50 cm (when washing without an upper basket). The bottle basket is easily fitted, allowing crockery, pots and pans, cutlery and glassware to be washed in one and the same unit. The highly relevant short cycles each last 8 minutes.
