Praise for wash and rinse performance

Miele's W 5861 WPS washing machine received the top mark of 1.6 in the current washing machine test (test 11/2013) conducted by Germany's consumer watchdog Stiftung Warentest (StiWa). A total of 13 front-loading machines with 1400 rpm were tested.

The W 5861 WPS machine scored points with best values in all tested categories. Apart from a very good wash performance, testers also highlight the machine's rinsing performance. The rinse performance is of particular importance to customers who have sensitive skin and react to detergent residue left on laundry. The testers also praise: "The handling is good, countdown indicator and operating instructions are even very good." They also value highly the sound emissions of the "very reliable machine", which is stated as being pleasantly quiet.
In this year alone this is the fifth test win for Miele. First places for Miele were won by the W 5821 WPS front-loading washing machine and the W 627 F WPM top-loading washing machine (test 1/2013), the K 5224 iF-1 refrigerator (test 7/2013) and the T 8857 WP EcoComfort heat-pump dryer (test 8/2013).
