Miele Marine model series: Practical professionals for kitchens on board

Gütersloh, September 12, 2019 No. 94/2019
  • Lloyd’s Register certification guarantees maximum security and performance

  • Cycles times of only 8 minutes

Commercial dishwashers are just the job wherever much larger volumes of crockery need washing than in private households. These machines don't do things by halves, neither on land nor at sea: Cycle times are short and convenience features ensure hygienically clean dishes. Now there are new Miele Marine models which have been successfully tested and certified by the Lloyd's Register classification organisation.

All models from Miele Marine were tested by the independent Phönix Testlab as required to obtain official certification by Lloyd’s Register – and the associated recommendation for use in marine applications. Lloyd’s Register has been a service of international repute providing independent quality monitoring and risk prevention in shipbuilding and other areas for more than 250 years.

All commercial dishwashers from the Miele Marine series were specifically designed for use on board ships: Two different models, each available in three electrical versions, ensure the correct version to match the vessel's power supply. The fresh water dishwashers are able to wash up to 285 plates per hour. These machines wash particularly thoroughly on two levels and reach temperatures of up to 85°C in the final rinse. The three most frequently used programmes can be saved as favourites and assigned to shortcut keys for ease of selection. Functions exclusive to Miele ensure a high level of user convenience: From AutoClose which automatically shuts the door after the start of a programme, to the patented salt container in the door which can be conveniently replenished without having to stoop. Touch controls allow the selection of 13 cycles, with programme information available in the display in more than 20 languages.

In addition to this, Miele offers an integrated and a fully integrated unit from the ProfiLine range as 'Marine' versions. These dishwashers blend in perfectly in runs of cabinetry and guarantee sparklingly clean crockery and cutlery in only 17 minutes. Depending on the model, these offer space for 13 or 14 place settings. This model range sources its design and its convenience features from Miele domestic appliances. The cabinet, for instance, is illuminated, and patented AutoOpen drying ensures reliable drying.

To allow skipper and crew to concentrate on more important things, the ProfiLine dishwashers can be monitored from a distance from the convenience of a smartphone or tablet – from a deckchair in the sun or from shore leave.
