Space-saving miracle incorporating tried-and-tested technology

The trend towards washing machines with large load capacities continues unabated, and even includes toploaders. At the IFA 2013 trade show, Miele will be catering for this trend – by converting almost all toploading washing machines from the current range from 5 or 5.5 kg to a full maximum load capacity of 6 kg.

Thanks to their compact design, toploaders are an ideal match for the needs of smaller households or homes with limited space, often being installed in bathrooms. This load capacity increase of up to 20% on the same footprint offers customers noticeable added benefits.

Depending on the model, Miele toploaders achieve spin speeds of up to 1400 rpm. Drum autopositioning ensures that the loading hatch is always uppermost at the end of a programme cycle and is secured in this position to prevent it from slipping during unloading. This makes loading and unloading the machine highly convenient. The inner lid on models with the honeycomb drum is easy to open, thanks to Miele's patented ComfortLift feature. Furthermore, virtually all models feature a transport base, allowing them to be wheeled effortlessly into position. All new toploaders from the W 600 series feature Miele's patented honeycomb drum and achieve a top A+++ rating for energy efficiency.
