New induction hobs and ovens from Miele – Entry-line series further upgraded
-
Greater planning flexibility through variable cutout dimensions on hob units
-
Puristic elegance on account of high proportion of glass and low-key graphics
The world's leading supplier of premium domestic appliances is upgrading its entry-line induction hobs and ovens – by adding more convenience and new design. A further benefit: flexible cutout measurements on hob units for individually tailored kitchens.
Cooking with induction is fast, safe and energy-saving. Furthermore, cleaning is convenient as the ceramic glass does not become as hot and therefore food does not burn on as easily. It is hardly surprising then that induction hobs are on the wish-lists of many consumers planning a new kitchen. But, equally so, induction hobs are increasingly the product of choice when modernising kitchens or replacing old appliances. Now, Miele is making it easier for consumers to switch to this method of cooking. The cutout dimensions on the new entry-line models are flexible, simplifying the installation of the new models in existing kitchens.
The subdued design of the new entry models blends in seamlessly in all kitchen environments: Fine white lines identify the rings on the black ceramic glass screen. New, too, is the fact that on some models two flex zones can be combined to give a large casserole zone. This provides the opportunity to use larger cookware such as oven dishes or Miele's Gourmet griddle plate on the hob. This function is discreetly indicated by a continuous vertical line.
Intuitive controls and smart functions
The interplay between permanent pan recognition and convenient controls (ComfortSelect) makes for an intuitive cooking experience. The printed numerical display regulates the various zones. Practical in everyday use: The minute minder and auto switch-off are directly accessible via their own separate controls. The timer helps keep track of cooking times or even switches zones off after a predefined time. All models with the exception of hobs with oven controls also feature the proven Con@ctivity* function with which a cooker hood is automatically controlled by the hob and can also hook up to the Miele app* via WiFi.
The range of new entry-line induction hob units comprises self-contained models, with and without a frame. This facilitates onset or flush installation. Two further hob units with a frame can be connected to an oven and operated via the oven's own retractable controls. The models are 60 cm or 80 cm wide. The market launch will commence in October 2023.
New entry-line oven models
Miele is offering new ovens to match the new induction hobs at entry level. These include models controlled from the oven. A large proportion of obsidian black glass stands for a puristic, contemporary design, as does the elegant handle which appears to levitate in front of the unit. These machines therefore integrate perfectly in open-plan kitchens.
The selection of operating modes and power settings is via retractable controls and a 7-segment display. New features are a menu button located below the display and a fast-access button for the timer. The rotary control on the right serves not only to select temperatures but also for navigation (EasyControl). This makes operation even more intuitive and convenient than previously the case.
Like all ovens from Miele, these models feature Miele's patented PerfectClean finish. This special surface finish is characterised by its excellent non-stick properties which make cleaning incredibly simple. The oven and baking sheets can simply be washed with water with a dash of washing-up liquid added and a sponge. Alternatively, model versions with pyrolytic self-cleaning are also available. This feature incinerates grease splashes and soiling in the oven interior to ash at very high temperatures. Residue can simply be wiped out with a damp cloth. Many operating modes are available for food preparation, including, naturally, standard heating types such as Fan Plus or Roof and Conventional Heat.
The market launch of the new ovens is February 2024. The models sport an A+ energy efficiency rating. They are all available in obsidian black/Stainless look; selected models are additionally available in brilliant white.
*The applications covered in the above text are additional digital offers from Miele & Cie. KG. All smart applications are made possible by the Miele@home system. The range of functions may vary depending on the model and the country.
