New injector system: Miele doubles capacity of thermal disinfectors

Gütersloh, September 9, 2019 No. 93/2019
  • 44 nozzles for the connection of lumened instruments in undercounter models

  • New accessories for greater flexibility in instrument reprocessing

60 cm wide thermal disinfectors increasingly flexible and with larger capacity for instruments – thanks to new accessories. For instance, a module will be available for the lower basket from December 2019 which is equipped with two additional rows of injector nozzles. It offers space for 22 nozzles previously only available for the upper basket. This results in a doubling of the number of connections for the reprocessing of hand-pieces and contra-angles as well as other lumened instruments to 44 per cycle, leaving dental surgeries able to rise to the challenge of increasing patient numbers.

In order to protect hand-pieces and contra-angles, Miele uses special fine-mesh tubular filters to ensure the thorough irrigation of instruments, but at the same time prevent soil particles from entering the complex instruments. In addition to this, special adapters are available which are simply placed onto the injector rail. This includes, for example, the reprocessing of instruments with separate spray channels, or tips used on air scalers and piezo scalers.

If there are no lumened instruments to be reprocessed in the lower basket, the injector rails can be simply removed to create space for mesh trays. Additional flexibility is provided by a height-adjustable upper basket, allowing larger load items to be accommodated. Just as practical: A new insert for separable mouth mirrors which complements the range of accessories for the upper basket.
