New tank dishwashers provide sparkling results and are more efficient than ever before

Gütersloh/Hamburg, March 15, 2019 No. 16/2019

  • Versatile and even easier to operate

  • Optimised washing system with redesigned spray arms

Four new undercounter tank dishwashers from Miele offer greater convenience than ever before. The user interface with its high-resolution touch display is child's play to use and is simple to the point of virtually eliminating operating mistakes. In addition, operating costs are cut significantly by an optimised washing system. These dishwashers produce perfect results – and thanks to their innovative add-on features dispense with the need for manual polishing as glasses leave the dishwasher without stains. The new models are due to be launched in the second quarter of 2019.

Economies are particularly noticeable in the 46 cm wide glass washer: Standard programmes get by with only two litres of water, and in the Eco programme, water consumption is even as low as 1.8 l. Compared with the previous model generation, this represents savings of 17% and 25% respectively. In the other three models, consumption has been reduced by between 8% and 17%. These excellent values are achieved through an optimised water circuit and completely redesigned spray arms. Reduced water consumption also automatically results in lower energy and detergent requirements.

The new hard glass touch display makes all undercounter tank dishwashers even simpler to use than previously, even when wearing gloves. Self-explanatory pictogrammes guide users to the three standard and three special-purpose programmes. Individual functions are intuitively selected. An integrated reverse osmosis system on selected models provides additional convenience, giving stemware a sparkling finish without the need for manual polishing.

With a capacity of up to 77 baskets per hour, these undercounter tank dishwashers are capable of washing large mountains of crockery per hour. The programmes are geared specifically to the needs of different load types and degrees of soiling, such as glassware, mixed loads or plates. Variable pressure levels and cycle durations as well as flexible dispensing ensure optimum cleaning combined with the best possible protection of loads. Short programmes are completed in 47 or 55 seconds. Safety functions such as integrated spray arm and filter monitoring detect possible problems at an early stage and relay their findings to the display.

Thanks to a chamber depth of more than 60 cm, the PTD 704 also lends itself to washing large and bulky items such as trays or EN containers. As previously, all models can be used as free-standing units or installed below a worktop.
