G 6000 dishwashers: Elegant, efficient and easy to use

Miele's G 6000 dishwashers – to match the same-name Generation 6000 kitchen appliances – are characterised by their elegant design and superb energy efficiency. The fully integrated models also blend seamlessly into a handleless kitchen – thanks to the Knock2open door opening system, patents pending.

Particularly striking is the design of the fascia panel on built-under models, with its slender stainless-steel trim along the upper edge of the door. This represents a signature feature which ties in the new dishwashers with the other Miele built-in appliances. The layout of the controls is another common feature. Depending on individual models, the fascia panels are available in CleanSteel stainless steel, Brilliant White, Obsidian Black and Havana Brown.

When it comes to cleaning performance, these machines lead the field, achieving energy efficiency ratings of A+++ or A++ across the board. Miele dishwashers operate exclusively on the fresh water principle and, depending on the model, require as little as 6.5 l of water in the 'Automatic' programme. The latter is possible through the combination of electronically controlled commercial-grade pump and spray arm alternation. This feeds water alternatingly to the middle or the top and bottom spray arms respectively using varying pressure levels. This not only saves water, it also ensures the thorough and gentle cleaning of crockery.

Smart features such as the FlexiTimer with EcoStart and the EcoFeedback function support the environmentally friendly use of these products. Extra economical and extra dry options go a long way towards meeting individual needs. Customers attaching particular importance to convenience will value the ergonomic positioning of the salt container in the machine door as well as BrilliantLight, the 3D cutlery tray and sound emissions as low as 38 dB ('Extra quiet' programme).

A very special highlight on fully integrated models is the Knock2open door opening system, patents pending. As the door opens automatically when tapped twice, no handle is needed – perfect for modern kitchens with handleless fronts. Extraneous noises from the vicinity of the machine are simply ignored. TimeControl on fully integrated units visualises the programme sequence using LEDs. The highlight in the flagship range is the 'touch on metal' user interface: a stainless-steel fascia with high-end minimalistic appeal and a two-line display with white characters on a black background.
