Optimised chamber for top performance in Practices: the new CompactLine from Miele Professional

Gütersloh/Stuttgart/Frankfurt on the Main No. 101/2025
  • For dental and medical practices with small teams and fewer instruments reprocessed daily

  • Short programme for handpieces, contra-angle handpieces and dental turbines

  • Reduced resource consumption and connection to Miele MOVE MedDent+

With its new CompactLine generation, Miele Professional is set to offer high-quality compact washer-disinfectors from November 2025. These machines are especially suitable for medical and dental practices where relatively fewer instrument sets are reprocessed daily. The new machines are 60 cm wide and equipped with a loading level and an integrated drawer for automated chemical dispensing and storing.

Featuring a white finish in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, the washer-disinfectors will be unveiled for the first time at local German dental trade fairs in autumn 2025. Internationally, the machines are also available with a stainless steel surface. CompactLine machines wash and disinfect instruments used in dentistry, ENT, gynaecology, urology, surgery, minimally invasive surgery and veterinary medicine. The optimised chamber can accommodate 22 nozzles for lumened instruments, along with other instruments. A special insert with a capacity of up to 30 additional universal cannulas and other instruments is also available for dental practices. In addition, Miele Professional offers a versatile range of racks and inserts.

Intuitive user guidance and sustainability

The modern full-touch colour display is intuitive to use and makes every-day work with CompactLine machines a breeze. The user language can be changed quickly and the current cycle status is easy to read even from a few metres away. Batches can be released directly via the display. Practice staff receive support for routine maintenance and troubleshooting tasks with clear video sequences on the display. Visual elements assist operation, help users find and identify the correct option and reduce downtime. Depending on the model, up to 13 programmes are available, including a short programme for handpieces and contra-angles with a runtime of less than half an hour, which supports a rapid workflow in dentistry. There are also five free programme slots for specific requirements.

Thanks to the compact chamber, the new models consume comparatively little water. For example, a CompactLine machine with three dosing pumps requires only 44 litres in the Vario TD Dental programme. Minimal water consumption means that heat-up times are short and ensures economical power consumption.

Control functions and simple process documentation

Efficient cleaning is ensured by constant monitoring of liquid dosing, sensors that measure the temperature, and a patented variable-speed pump that adjusts the water pressure as needed.  A spray arm and rinsing pressure control system monitors the progress of each programme and detects blockages caused by large instruments. With the EcoDry function, the door opens automatically after the end of the programme, as soon as the temperature in the rinsing compartment has reached a safe level. This allows any remaining air to escape within a short time, so the instruments dry quickly.

A large push-to-open drawer is located beneath the wash chamber for storing process chemicals and opens with a gentle push. This allows users to remove and replace canisters easily as required. During canister replacements, the suction lance can be secured on a small drip tray to prevent chemicals from dripping onto the floor or into the drawer. An integrated holding frame enables more efficient emptying of the canisters. This is economical and sustainable, as fewer process chemicals are disposed of unused.

CompactLine machines can be integrated into the practice network quickly and easily via Wi-Fi or LAN. This enables secure process documentation with personalised access rights. The machines can also be connected to the Miele MOVE Connect and Miele MOVE MedDent+ digital solutions, making machine data easy to view via mobile devices and allowing process data to be documented from any location.

To ensure reliable availability in everyday practice, key components are located in positions that Miele Service can easily reach, significantly reducing maintenance times. Designed for at least 15,000 operating hours and with spare parts available for 15 years, Miele Professional CompactLine appliances are sustainable and reliable partners for every-day work in the dental and medical practice.
