Technical perfection for gourmets

Generation 6000 ovens stand out above all thanks to their new design and their innovative user interfaces. But behind the machine fronts lie numerous technical improvements for the convenience of consumers.

Take pyrolytic cleaning, for example: More and more Miele customers rely on this feature to remove grease splashes and residue from the cabinet by incinerating them to ash at very high temperatures. All that remains is for the ash to be wiped away. Now, Miele has developed new PyroFit accessories for models with pyrolytic cleaning. Whereas side racks, combi racks and FlexiClip telescopic runners previously had to be removed prior to pyrolytic cleaning, these accessories can now remain in the oven as they are resistant to extremely high temperatures. This saves time and effort in cleaning.

The range of applications for 'Moisture Plus' cooking on new ovens and wall ovens has also been increased, offering even simpler handling. Models featuring moisture-assisted cooking count among the bestsellers in the Miele range: Moisture improves results when proving dough, gives loaves of bread an appetising crust and make cuts of meat particularly crisp on the outside and succulent inside. Whereas 'Moisture Plus' with its bursts of steam was previously the preserve of the 'Fan oven' setting, its range of applications has now been broadened to include further operating modes (Top and bottom heat, Intensive bake and Auto-Roast). And what's more, users can now programme in manual steam delivery at the relevant times.

The inner cabinet and baking sheets are also to feature a new, more contemporary colour. Anthracite will in future be the Miele standard on all enamelled surfaces inside the oven, irrespective of whether the model concerned has pyrolytic cleaning or Miele's patented PerfectClean finish. Unchanged are the excellent non-stick properties and simple cleaning of cabinets, baking sheets and accessories with the PerfectClean finish.

In future, high-end ovens will cater to a greater degree for national cooking preferences. In a first stage, automatic programmes will be included for traditional, well-loved recipes from Great Britain, Switzerland and Australia. Whether meat, oven bakes, cakes or desserts – consumers can look forward to delectable results, not least because experienced chefs from these countries have been involved in developing and fine-tuning these automatic programmes.

And, finally, Miele is to include a recipe book with all its ovens. The intention is both to inspire and simplify working with recipes for automatic programmes and 'Moisture Plus' and to ensure that purchasers feel at home with their new appliances fast.
