Simpler workflows, reduced resource consumption and straightforward operation are at the heart of this year’s solutions. At Intergastra and Internorga 2026, the leading trade fairs for hotels and the catering industry, Miele Professional is unveiling five innovative products designed for in-house laundries. The line-up includes network-enabled washing machines with load sizes of 27 and 35 kg. These machines offer higher spin efficiency and process more textiles in less time than previous models. The new ‘PowerWash PRO’ washing process cuts cycle times in washing machines with load sizes of up to 20 kg. The range is rounded out with a dryer stack made up of two heat pump dryers, which also help to lower running costs. It all started with a little inn back in 1898. And the Grünauerhof in Wals near Salzburg in Austria is still a family-run business today – following numerous modernisation projects and the addition of new buildings, it is now a four-star hotel with 64 rooms and a large wellness area. Five rustic restaurants with space for 650 diners serve regional and international cuisine prepared using products from the hotel’s own farm. And the laundry facilities are on site too. For over 35 years, Miele laundry machines have been providing the hotel with beautifully laundered bed linen, towelling textiles, tablecloths and napkins.
Following hard on the heels of the coveted golden virus seal of approval for meeting above-average hygiene standards outside the healthcare sector, the Institute for Integrative Hygiene and Virology has commended Miele technology intended for commercial operations: Washing machines and commercial dishwashers from the most recent generations now also receive the seal in black as a testimony to even higher standards.
Miele’s Little Giants appliances are ideal for situations that involve washing large quantities of laundry on a daily basis but have little space available to do so. These compact washing machines and tumble dryers offer load capacities of six to eight kilograms and take up just half a square metre of space. Now the heat-pump dryers available in the range use propane, an eco-friendly natural gas refrigerant.
With ProCare Tex Miele offers process chemicals that are optimally suited for use in its commercial washing machines (all sizes). Five new products are available: For example, a booster and a powder disinfectant heavy-duty detergent. Due to their eco-friendly composition several detergents have been awarded the EU Ecolabel.
Wherever sparkling results and hygiene top the agenda, the commercial dishwashers from Miele's MasterLine series are the products of choice: The proven fresh water system takes in fresh water for each phase of the programme and uses high temperatures to remove soil and reliably deal with viruses and bacteria. In the course of everyday work, short cycles make for efficient processes. These models are ideal for hotels and restaurants.
Regular inspections and maintenance can prevent commercial machines of all kinds – from washing machines to dishwashers – unexpectedly grinding to a halt.
