For three years now, restaurateurs and caterers in Germany have been obliged to offer reusable tableware for takeaway meals and to take it back. But how can cups and bowls made of polypropylene and other plastic materials be reliably cleaned in a commercial dishwasher? Diana Klapper has the answers to questions like these. She’s responsible for carrying out hygiene tests and chemical-analytical research at the Miele plant’s application-technical laboratory in Bielefeld. She finds solutions for Miele Professional’s consumers and various in-house departments. A look behind the scenes.
High throughput and cost-effectiveness in a confined space: A new dryer-dryer stack from Miele is combining these properties. The dryers are ideal for cleaning in hotels and large restaurants.
With the introduction of the PowerWash PRO system, Miele Professional is setting new standards of efficiency for its tried-and-tested ‘Benchmark’ washing machines. By harnessing cutting-edge technology, the washing process has been optimised to use water, energy and time even more effectively, resulting in improved overall performance. In 12, 16 and 20 kg models, PowerWash PRO delivers faster saturation of textiles and reduces cycle times by up to ten minutes per load.
Miele Professional is expanding its portfolio for hotels with their own laundry facilities with extra-large, network-enabled washing machines. With load sizes of 27 and 35 kilograms (PWM 927 and PWM 935) and as part of the ‘Benchmark’-Series, these models can process large quantities of kitchen or table linen in a short time, delivering significant savings compared to the previous generation.
