Space miracle for kitchens: Miele launches XXL built-in fridge-freezer

Gütersloh, August 25, 2025 No. 064/2025
  • Significantly more space for supplies and after doing a big shop

  • Extra storage space ensures an ideal overview and less food thrown away

For households with large space requirements: at IFA 2025, Miele is establishing a new dimension for built-in fridge-freezers. With a height of 194 centimetres and a width of 75 centimetres, two new XXL appliances (KFN 7934 D and KFN 7913 E) offer around 45 percent more storage capacity than comparable standard-sized models. This makes the new built-in models ideal for large families, big weekly shops or preparing for special occasions.

Compared to the standard niche (60 cm wide, 178 cm high), the new XXL models offer an additional 15 centimetres in width and 16 centimetres in height. This corresponds to around 100 litres more usable volume in the refrigeration section and 22 litres in the freezer section. An additional glass shelf and a further inner door shelf also provide structured storage space. This extra space means food can be cleverly organised and clearly stored, reducing the risk of products being forgotten or going off.

The XXL appliances are also equipped with the DailyFresh freshness system, which keeps fruit and vegetables fresh in the drawer for around twice as long as in a conventional vegetable compartment. In addition, the spacious DailyFresh ExtraCool drawer offers even more space and freshness for perishable products such as meat, fish and milk. The combination of generous storage space and innovative systems not only saves time and money, but also valuable resources.

Plenty of space, plenty of convenience

LED lighting ensures good visibility, even in large fridges, while the connection with Miele@home offers convenient operation. Regular defrosting is no longer necessary thanks to the innovative ‘NoFrost’ function. The KFN 7934 D model is also being launched with additional light sources and the popular SoftClose feature for gentle door closing.

“The new XXL built-in appliances not only bring more storage space to the kitchen, but also more convenience to everyday life,” emphasises Holger Keisinger, Senior Vice President of the Refrigeration Business Unit at Miele. ‟The generous amount of space and optimised organisation make these appliances particularly attractive for large households and all those who do not want to compromise on freshness.”

The new models will be available on the European market from April 2026.
