Two tradition-rich German companies – both leaders in their respective laboratory fields – have been cooperating successfully now for around 5 years. Miele Professional, market leader in the washer-disinfector domain and Gütersloh-based manufacturer and the Mainz-based Duran Group, renowned for their high-quality, innovative laboratory glassware, industrial glass and special-purpose glass products, have agreed on closer cooperation in the fields of product development, marketing and training.

Both companies are characterised by decades of experience and an unrelenting pursuit of perfection and quality in a bid to offer customers products to simplify everyday laboratory work. The Duran Group is unquestionably the specialist in the use of borosilicate glass, a development of their own, which is noted for its resistance to temperature cycling which lends itself to a broad range of applications in laboratories. Miele's highly successful washer-disinfectors are both developed and produced in Germany. Thanks to their innovative features, a broad range of sizes and load capacities and simple, intuitive controls, they are reliable helpers in laboratories the world over.

Close cooperation between the two companies creates synergies which offer customers huge benefits. An intensive exchange of information at the product development stage will result in laboratory glassware which not only serves its purpose perfectly in the laboratory but which also can be cleaned and disinfected both gently and economically.
The expertise of both companies will be imparted to customers in future in joint training and information events aimed at providing assistance in the selection and use of products. Furthermore, close cooperation is planned at tradeshows.
