Just in time for the start of the IFA trade fair, Miele is presenting its third generation of cordless vacuum cleaners with the new Triflex HX3. This compact all-rounder combines the flexibility and cleaning performance of its predecessor, the HX2, with improved user convenience. Miele is entering a growing market segment with its new wet cleaning solution. A total of six models are available, two of which feature the Aqua Twister Pro nozzle for wet cleaning. The nozzle can be retrofitted to the other models. Sales will commence in March 2026.

The Triflex HX3 boasts timeless elegance, functional aesthetics and technical details that make vacuuming more convenient: On hard floors, the appliance has a 33 percent longer runtime* than the previous model – ideal for cleaning large areas without interruption. Up to 70 minutes of battery power is available when the PowerUnit, consisting of the motor unit, battery and dust box, is used on its own – a practical option for vacuuming the car or removing crumbs from the breakfast table.

On hard floors, the appliance achieves dust pick-up of over 99.99 percent, ensuring cleaning performance of the highest standard. For larger areas of dirt, a boost mode delivers maximum power for ten seconds and picks up dirt extra fast. The new display with convenient button operation provides information about running time, power level and battery charge status – for complete transparency during cleaning.

The emptying of the dust container has also been optimised: a new filter system with smooth surfaces ensures that dirt simply falls out during emptying, for maximum hygiene without direct contact with the dirt.

Next-level wet cleaning: the Aqua Twister Pro nozzle

The new Aqua Twister Pro nozzle turns the Triflex HX3 into a wet cleaner. Two rotating pads on the underside of the nozzle enable intensive deep cleaning of all hard floors. A 300-ml water tank cleans areas of up to 150 square meters in one go. Three water levels can be selected depending on the level of dirt and the type of flooring. Unique and exclusive to Miele is the 360-degree light strip, which makes dirt visible and ensures a sparkling clean home.

The market for rechargeable handheld stick vacuum cleaners with a wiping function is growing rapidly: between 2022 and 2024, turnover in this segment doubled. In 2024 alone, one in ten handheld stick vacuum cleaners sold already had an additional wipe function – and the trend is rising. This development highlights the growing need for multifunctional cleaning solutions in everyday life.

Taking tried-and-tested features further

The Triflex HX3 builds on the strengths of the HX2, the current the test winner in the cordless vacuum cleaner category at Stiftung Warentest (10/2024). The patented 3-in-1 design has also been retained and remains a key unique selling point in the market: the PowerUnit can be flexibly converted for convenient vacuuming under furniture, beneath ceilings or in solo mode. In the lower position, the appliance stands independently, which is exclusive to Miele and practical for short breaks or storage.

With integrated BrilliantLight LED technology, no speck of dust remains undetected. Automatic floor detection reduces the speed on hard floors, saving energy for longer battery life and a responsible approach to energy and the environment. The HEPA Lifetime Filter traps 99.999 percent* of all particles and allergens.
