Miele’s heat-pump dryer is the clear number one for consumer watchdog Stiftung Warentest

Gütersloh, August 27, 2020 No. 043/2020
  • Top marks in all relevant disciplines

  • Shortest programme running times for “Normal” and “Hand iron”

Outstanding results for the Miele TEB 155 WP heat-pump dryer: scoring 1.8, the appliance is the unrivalled winner of the tumble dryer test conducted by German consumer watchdog Stiftung Warentest (StiWa) – and is streets ahead of all its competitors. In total, StiWa tested eight heat-pump dryers with a load of seven kilograms. The complete test is published in the September edition of the German “test” magazine.

In the magazine, the editors highlighted in particular the Miele appliance’s excellent drying characteristics, ease of use and environmental properties. The dryer fared particularly well in the “Cottons Normal” and “Cottons Hand iron” programmes and was the fastest appliance tested for both options. The TEB 155 WP also came out on top with respect to ease of use. The fluff filter is easy to remove and clean, confirmed the testers. Loading and unloading is also straightforward, and the condensate container can be emptied with ease. With respect to environmental properties, the efficiency of the condensing process particularly impressed the testers. In addition, the Miele dryer is one of the appliances tested that works with a more eco-friendly refrigerant that is harmless to the environment.

Further features for perfect drying

In addition to the assessed criteria, the test winner from Miele also scored highly thanks to further tried-and-tested features offering first-class results and outstanding user convenience. These include the patented PerfectDry residual moisture sensing function for spot-on drying results, EcoDry technology with a maintenance-free heat exchanger and, of course, Miele’s patented honeycomb drum, the last word in gentle laundry care. What’s more, adding extra items of laundry once washing has begun is no problem: the AddLoad feature makes it possible to add or remove items right up until almost the end of the programme. Users also have the option to lightly fragrance their laundry during the drying programme using Miele’s own FragranceDos flacons. The test winner is identical in design to the TCB 150 WP, TWB 140 WP and TSB 143 WP models.
