Quieter than ever before: The new CM5 Silence coffee machines from Miele

Gütersloh, August 14, 2020 No. 039/2020

Miele has made its popular entry-level range of countertop coffee machines even more impressive. The new CM5 Silence options offer an unparalleled coffee experience in appliances that are intuitive to operate, easy to clean, beautifully designed – and now quieter than ever.

The new CM5 Silence range of coffee machines from Miele offers the perfect entry-level appliances for anyone who wants to enjoy outstanding coffee at home – whether that means a morning cappuccino, a regular cup during the afternoon or a quick espresso after dinner. The models in the range feature improvements over their predecessors, the most significant of these being a reduction of as much as 50 percent in the noise created by the grinder. “Noise really matters to customers when they’re choosing a coffee machine”, says Michael Wolbeck, Product Manager for coffee makers at Miele. “That’s especially true if they’re working in a home office”.

Seven coffee specialities, from a simple ristretto all the way through to a latte macchiato, can be dispensed at the touch of a button – and of course, the machines include the OneTouch for Two function for preparing two drinks at once. Users have the option of amending settings to suit their preferences: these include the quantity of coffee that is ground and the water quantity and temperature. There is also a pre-brewing setting. What’s more, some models allow drink parameters to be stored in up to two custom user profiles and offer a hot water function. Meanwhile, a coffee pot function for up to six cups is available in all the CM5 Silence models.

Automatic functions and dishwasher-safe parts for hassle-free cleaning

The care and cleaning programmes are also there to provide maximum convenience. Their features include rinsing the milk pipework from the 1.3 l water container – a process that happens automatically each time a drink containing milk has been prepared. The brew unit can be removed and rinsed under the tap, ensuring the quality of the coffee remains consistently excellent over the entire lifetime of the machine. Not only that, but the drip tray, water container and waste container are all dishwasher-safe.
